Ear Syringing

From 1st April we will no longer be offering ear syringing at our practice.

This decision has been made in line with NHS advice. Ear wax can usually be self-managed using over the counter drops of olive oil or sodium bicarbonate.

Some patients are not able to clear their own wax so will need to have it cleared by micro-suctioning. This procedure is offered by many audiologists locally including Specsavers and at some Boots branches.

This can be done after NHS referral if you are awaiting an NHS audiology appointment.
